Posted May 5, 2015 I would not recommend non branded power supplies. They usually don't have the same certifications like branded ones do which means they might be less efficient, or worse, they might cause damage to your components. I would spend the little extra to get something like they are recommending.
Posted May 5, 2015 This would be plenty for your system. Do not go anywhere near a non branded unit. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_535&products_id=15135
 Posted May 5, 2015 Also my graphics card says 600W so does that mean i should get a 600+ power supply unit? A 520W is easily enough for an R9 280 and a locked i5. Take any recommended manufacturers figure with a pinch of salt.

Nope, you won't need any more then a good 500W for that system. Don't get either of those PSUs. The Corsair VS is already pretty crap and anything by Aerocool is likely even worse. If you can stretch your budget a bit consider the Antec Neo Eco 520W. A great Seasonic-made unit, it's the lowest I'd go for a PSU and a great unit for the price in Australia. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-neoeco520c "Rawr XD"
 Posted May 9, 2015 http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/ZnjvFT Thoughts on this build Why'd you switch that r9 280 for a gtx760? The r9 280 is more powerful, and costs less. If you really want a 760 there's the gigabyte one, which only costs $255. "It's a taxi, it has a FARE METER."
 For an R9 280 you'll want a high quality 500W. That and the VS are not what I would call high quality PSUs. The EVGA is better then the VS but still mediocre. This is the best choice in the price range. Quality Seasonic-made unit. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-neoeco520c "Rawr XD"
