Constant PC Crashing, can't seem to fix

DoPlusSee

Hey guys, within the past 3-2 weeks my pc would randomly crash an my Dell monitor would say "input not supported ... ect" but I found out it was only saying that because the PC has crashed. This is hair ripping for me and it's extremely annoying whether im working or playing games it's horrible. The screen goes black and the pc just restarts.

What i've done to try and solve it so far:

  • Update drivers
  • Uninstall all drivers and reinstalled
  • Turn it off and on again
  • Google the errors and try common fixes.

The only information I can really give is the error log from the Event Viewer:

Try and install software WhoCrashed. It analyzes dump file and gives an accurate explanation.

@DoPlusSee  It may be the ram or the power supply. if you have any spares, try swapping them. and as for the errors, I think I was waching a video about scam tech support companies and how they report these errors to be bad when they are just common windows errors

Main PC: ASUS PRIME X299-A / Core i7 7820X / 16GB DDR4 / Palit GTX 1070 Ti / Corsair CX550F / Corsair Carbide Air 540

Hmm, WhoCrashed only gave me reports from 4/26/15. This was it.

On Sun 4/26/2015 2:45:48 AM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\042515-35140-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x150CA0)
Bugcheck code: 0x133 (0x0, 0x501, 0x500, 0x0)
Error: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: The DPC watchdog detected a prolonged run time at an IRQL of DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This problem might be caused by a thermal issue.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION is caused by an out of date driver supposedly. Trying to see if any drivers are out of date now.

All drivers up to date. Still cant find the error nor the actual fix, any help? I honestly don't want to spend the $ to send it to a shop.

Random no-explanation crashes like that with no blue screen? Usually PSU related. And I see you have a Corsair CX series PSU. Get a spare PSU and swap it in, you'll probably see your crashes go away.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

Before checking the power supply with another one, take a gander at your temps.  If it seems absurdly high at idle, I'd reseat the cpu with some fresh thermal compound, and blow out any dust that may be there.  I had a similar problem with a laptop I had. It would suddenly cut out with no explanation after working for a while. Thank goodness for the great repairability of HP's elitebooks! However, judging by your captures in the OP, power is a likely suspect. Anyway, check thermals before you go into looking at power supplies.

-Cheers!!!

-P.S. My initials are really P.B.J. Does that explain enough? :D

Hmm, I did have problems with my PSU when I first had it randomly shutting off due to surge protection, I fixed it by having to shut the Acer surge protection off. I'll also take a look at the temps and switch the psu. I'll reply with an update

Got this error with WhoCrashed, so I decided to download Nvidia drivers from January before this started.

pdQ9Rco.pngWill post updates in an hour and see if it holds.
