Hard drive transfer to new computer

I'm going be useing the hhd and ssd cards from the pc I use now into My brand new build is there anything I need to do with then like clean them which idk how to do and can't find a good tutorial and suggestions?

after u wipe them just reinstall windows or what ever OS you use.

The hard drive doesn't need to be formatted if you're only using it for storage(unless you want to). In regards to your SSD, you can use the Windows Installer(probably a Windows disc) to format it.

In the Windows Installer, there will be a partition wizard you can use. You'll get three options: Upgrade, Custom, and one other one I can't think of. Click Custom. You should be greeted with the aforementioned partitiom wizard and your partitions should be listed. Delete the desired ones and re-add them. Your drives will be wiped.
