Ok that cpu and mobo are not compatible at all as it's a intel mobo. I would recommend that you change it out for an I5 as you will get much better performance with it.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

Should i go for antother mobo then?

or what cpu should i change to?

i7 4790K CPU and keep the Z97 motherboard, the i7 would be better for editing, but if you can't get that an i5 would do fine.

I have a 1150 motherboard and a Intel i5-4440 and far cry 3 and battlefield 4 ran at a steady 60 with v sync, I also have a R9 290 for my gpu,

I would recommend a slightly better i5

Off topic: about your signature, you cant get another 970, since the i7-4790k only has 16 PCIe lanes, and nvidia gpu's require 8 each :)

He never said anything about editing, he said gaming on Battlefield, GTAV, and FarCry. In that use the I7 offers next to no gains over the I5.

Yeah I know, just to lazy to change it :P My CPU speeds as well since my case is garbage at proper cooling.

But yes if he is only going to be a tiny bit of editing which is seems like he is because he says only a bit I think the i5 will do you fine.

But the 8 Cores of the FX blow the roof off the i5 when rendering

But if editing was his main priority regarding it then he should go for the 8350 but if gaming is the main focus then go for the I5.
