It's a good monitor. ASUS will also be coming out with a FreeSync version soon (the MG279Q). So depending on what graphics card you have, that may be the better option.

In which they would make cents, releasing a card halfway inbetween with aftermarket board options for like $700 for reference, and maybe making the higher end cards closer to 800.
