Help understanding/setting up folding@home

Hey everyone! After watching the latest LTT video, I got inspired to give folding@home a try again. Right now I have a few questions regarding folding@home

Is there an app for folding@home or does it go through the browser?

How can I have it change workloads once my computer goes to idle/screen saver?

Is it ok that my computer locks during screensaver?

If by app you mean program, then yes. You can download it here: https://fah.stanford.edu/file-releases/public/release/fah-installer/windows-xp-32bit/v7.4/fah-installer_7.4.4_x86.exe

After you install the client you can change how and under what conditions it folds (You can set it to only fold when not in use). I don't know about it locking up during screensaver because I've never used the chrome client and as far as I know the full program doesn't have that issue.

when i fold the screen saver doesn't come on.

I had downloaded the F@H program, but it opened up F@H on my chrome. Is it supposed to do that usually?

yes, it does that to connect, you can close it once it says folding. It will fold with your browser closed, pause your fold and exit advanced control to exit.

There is a separate window, but you need to open it yourself. In the bottom right corner there should be the F@H icon. Right click it, click advanced control and it will open the normal desktop client.

yes, a mild oc, if you get errors back your clock speed. Also make sure you're not folding at startup.
