recommendations for my gaming build?

Hey guys,

This is my first time building a PC and I wanted to check if there is anything wrong with my build

The reason I went with crossfire is because I found 2

Used r9 280x which is cheaper than one r9 290x

Specs:

case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-01

Fans: 3x Cooler Master SickleFlow Red LED

CPU: core i5 4690

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3

GPU: Radeon r9 280x in crossfire

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G43 (is it good for crossfire?)

PSU: corsair CX850M 850w

RAM: corsair vengeance 2x4/1600mhz (8GB)

Hard drive: western digital 1TB

will there be good airflow with this build?

Should I just pay a little extra money and get r9 290x?

Anything you guys think I should do?

Do not use a Z97 motherboard if you are not going to buy the k version of the 4690. Also, get the eVGA SuperNOVA 850w G2 since it is better than the CX850m.

your motherboard will do crossfire, but only crossfire.

If you setup the fans right then yes it will have good airflow.

The 290x depends on what you need it for?  do you play any games that require a ton of graphics capacity like the new GTA? 2x 280xs' will have slightly more power than a single 290x, but i bet almost all the 290xs' will bet or match them in Vram.

i would just get a single 290x with alot a vram. ( or just save and get a 970)

Current: R2600X@4.0GHz\\ Corsair Air 280x \\ RTX 2070 \\ 16GB DDR3 2666 \\ 1KW EVGA Supernova\\ Asus B450 TUF

Old Systems: A6 5200 APU -- A10 7800K + HD6670 -- FX 9370 + 2X R9 290 -- G3258 + R9 280 -- 4690K + RX480

Sickleflow is really noisy.  Go find something quieter.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

Thanks for your reply

I see you have r9 280x in crossfire

How does it perform in graphic hungry games like AC unity, GTA V and battlefield 4.

Also is there any sort of micro stuttering when gaming?

Thanks!

They are better than i was expecting. They can run Battlefield 4 on ultra on 1080p and Assassins Creed black Flag on Pretty high settings.  GTA V I actually had to turn settings down from ultra to just high and it runs fine after the driver update.

I get no Stuttering. If i ever do its usually because of a network connection.

The Cards cant overclock to save their lives though. So don't plan on doing that anytime soon
