people who do gaming videos use gaming footage clips as the intro

most have a series of clips stitched together or an image with some music and text

 

having a fancy animated intro you paid for is not going to get you subscribers

I don't know what 99% of people on YouTube do, I only know what the people I watch do. I never said you have to pay for a fancy animated intro, but saying that having a good intro isn't going to get you subscribers is BS. It will absolutely have a positive influence on the rate at which you get subscribers if (and only if) your content is also up to it. First impressions mean the world.

anything over 8 seconds is too long, look at the statistics
