780ti SLI issues

Go to solution Solved by niofalpha,

Could be a CPU bottleneck.

I believe the 8300 bottlenecks a single 780 Ti, so 2 probably won't fair much better...

Are you running it full screen? I cant recall if the extreme HD preset is full screen by default...

Definitly try another application.

Don't bother trying to 4x slots, SLI wont even be an option.

Checked your SLI bridge? they can cause funny issues like this

Sim Rig:  Valve Index - Acer XV273KP - 5950x - GTX 2080ti - B550 Master - 32 GB ddr4 @ 3800c14 - DG-85 - HX1200 - 360mm AIO

well that's not looking so good for AMD...

Yeah it does seem to bottleneck a bit, but it is only 1080p and it's already pushing 90-100 FPS.  It's just not a demanding enough benchmark for the cards.

CPU bottleneck man.  An FX8 can't even handle a single 780Ti.

Have you tried a program like 3DMark11 or 3DMark Firestrike what is your scores there?

Upgraded to X99 and a 5820K today, valley now reports a score of 5430... AMD better step their game up

That's sad, Valley is usually GPU dependent and doesn't really rely on the CPU much. The fact that your old 8300 bottlenecked your graphics cards in Valley is just pathetic. Glad you got it sorted out and moved to a proper platform.
