Hey everyone. I just signed up here looking for help with picking out parts for a custom loop.

I have had the original h-100 since its release and the pump on it recently died. I have been using a hyper 212 evo as a placeholder until I could get the funds for some better cooling. Instead of going back with a AIO liquid cooler I want to go custom. I however can't really find many H-440 custom loops out there for reference so I now turn to you people! :D

I want a full custom loop for CPU and GPU to match a red and black build (full spec list here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cYx3kL) My budget isn't an exact number but I don't want to spend shit loads of money. I live in the U.S. btw! :D

Thanks guys!

so by shitloads of money do you mean in the thousands? because a custom loop will cost you at least 500

I was able to cool both the cpu and the gpu for around 3000 NOK, which roughly translates to around 380 USD, but prices will be different for you.

I searched for H440 radiator support and found the product page. Here are your options.

Front - 2 x 140 or 3 x 120mm
Top - 2 x 140 or 3 x 120mm
Rear - 1 x 140/120mm

However you may run into trouble if you try and run both a top and front radiator of 120mm x3, and thats just pure overkill anyways, so maybe run either 1 120mm x3 radiator, or 2 120mm x2 or even 2 140mm x2. I like the 140mm myself becasue you can run quieter fans, and the extra 20mm per fan is just extra cooling over a 120mm. You will probably want in total at least 3x 120mm of total radiator space for a GPU and CPU.

For CPU and GPU blocks just pick ones that work with your budget and are compatable with your system. You could also save money by using barb fittings over compression fittings. Good Luck!

welcome to the Linus Tech Tips forums!

from my experience with the H440, sporting the HDD and moderate overclock,

the 360x 30 roof radiator will be fine, but your case will be a dust magnet.

360x 60 in the front and manage to attach HDD in floor under the radiator will

do a lot better thermally and noise wise.

for optimal temps and HDD use, a 240x 60 in the front (using HDD tray) and

240x 30 in the roof will allow low fan speed, comfortable temps and hot overclock

voltages.

Seems like it would work. My question is where do I mount a pump and reservoir?
