Creative Sound Blaster Z

I got a message earlier from a friend that gets RAW Returns (customer returned without specifying a reason), they have been offered a Creative Sound Blaster Z.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, I have had it 2 years and the sound is brilliant, but I reinstalled windows about 3 months ago and since then I cannot install the correct Dolby software (Dolby Home Theatre V4) instead I can only install lower end software with less options, which doesn't sound as good.  I have spent days removing and installing drivers, and going from forum to forum and not finding a solution.

 

 

Creative Sound Blaster Z: NEW = around £60+

 

This one I have been offered is UNTESTED, price is £15.  Now they sell a lot of raw returns, and all I see is positive feedback from their customers.

 

Is this worth chancing for £45 cheaper than the retail price??

I have a 5.1 surround system.


If you have this sound card, is it good? (I am also reading reviews on it)

i would give it a shot...

the quality is worse than a xonar, but still will give a lot of options that your motherboard wont give you

I got one and the sound is fantastic, with my surround sound speakers and on my regular headset.

Well I received it yesterday, it works perfectly and I LOVE IT!!
