SSD Choice

Go to solution Solved by Vek1313,

Out of those you listed I would go with the first BX100 or MX100.

I need help picking out a SSD for my upgrade. Going into tower PC, Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 motherboard.

Kingston
SV300S37A 240G or OCZ ARC10025SAT3 240G(main choice)

http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/OCZ-ARC-100-240GB-vs-Kingston-SSDNow-V300-240GB/2603vs1817

I don't know how to take it, OCZ clearly wins there, but Kingston has more samples.

I need it for fast windows and few HDD intensive games, thus 240GB. Other stuff is on my 1.5TB HDD.

Is there any reason I should spend more?

Below is picture list of all the SSD-s that are within my pricerange... but I'm reluctant on spending more if there is no good reason to do so.
And I want to buy locally, because amazon, newegg aren't worth it in my region.

How much of an improvement does for example Kingston HyperX SH103S3B 240GB give me? As this is the most I'm willing to spend.

I'll take that into consideration, thanks!

If I remember correctly the BX100 is faster than the MX100 but the MX100 is a few GB more.

The BX100 is the best for the money, but if you can afford any of them on the list, SP920 is the best overall. Just because it's Crucial doesn't mean it's automagically the best, as many on this forum seem to think.
