Kingston's drives are fine, it's their v300 which is a pile of shit.

As for OCZ, their drives are also fine now that Toshiba has taken over.

Samsung sucks

Intel, Sandisk, Kingston, OCZ and AMD and Crucial are good ones

Even my older Corsair LS still beats the V300.

Linus only uses it for his storage because of 1) sponsor and 2) in RAID the write/read speed will be less of a priority than in single use

It still is shit though.

CPU: G3258 @ 4GHz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 OC RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 SSD: Corsair LS 120GB Case: Antec GX500 Mouse: Logitech G402 Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Headphones: Shure SRH440 Microphone: That Zalman Zm-Mic1 that everyone recommends but noone uses

Remember when the R9 280 was the HD 7950? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Personally I would go with either the Intel 730 series or the Samsung 850 PRO series.

However if budget is an issue, go with the Intel 530 series or the Samsung 850 EVO series, these could be considered the smaller brothers with a considerable price reduction to the 'flagship' big brothers

Lenovo Y50-70: CPU: Intel Core i7-4720HQ (2.60 GHz) | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M (4GB) | RAM: PC3-12800 DDR3L (16GB) | Storage: 512GB SSD | Display: 15.6" FHD IPS | OS: Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
