How to speed up the start of my pc?

Hello! I´m Darthiss and my pc is taking 5 MINUTES to load.

​Is there any effective way to speed it up without buying a SSD?

removing start up programs

use CCleaner and disable any unnecessary programs from starting.

Windows 8. Although probably cheaper to get a boot ssd. Also, rid of boot programs in task manager.

If you have window 8 you can go task manager to go start up tab and disable random programs.

Disable startup programs, get a faster hdd.

I disable startup animation and it makes boot significantly faster on pc's that run os's on hdd's

as said above turn off startup programs (the ones in windows 8 Task manager startup tab)

also check your startup folder
Winkey+R > shell:startup > OK

check task scheduler in administrative tasks on the control panel for more startup programs.

Remove Antivirus and run with windows defender (May not be the best but its quicker to boot than the others)

change visuals to performance

Winkey+Pause/break > advanced system settings (in the left hand side bar) > advanced tab > settings (under the performance header) > performance (Click radio button) > OK

defrag.

Change the windows theme to classic.

if you know what you're doing you can disable unnecessary windows services.

Having a lot of desktop icons and a lot in the recycle bin on a slower system can also slow boot.
