Graphics card vs CPU

Go to solution Solved by ForsakenLive,

Definitively not worth it, wait until you can save more, the GPU you mention is on par with the integrated graphics on that CPU.

If you need the system up and running soon, get the parts, but don't buy the GPU (stay with integrated for some time, it can run actually many games on low settings), and spend that money in a better PSU (the one mentioned is not a bad unit, but you can do a lot better, specially to be able to get a decent GPU later). Once you have the spare money, invest in something no less than a R9 270 if you want to be able to game decently.

I want to start my first gaming PC, but while searching for the components the GPU is the one that gives me the most trouble, I dont have a really small budget, but i dont want a over the top gaming PC, I found a GIGABYTE GV-R667D3-1GI Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR3, and i want to use in a PC with a Intel Core i5-4590, and i was thinking while reading about the gigabyte

Is it really worth it, the 1gb ddr3 was expected to run HD games in low settings, and it cost (in my country at least) 174dlls, did i have a better chance going with the inboard graphics, or does it make a difference?

HERES THE REST OF THE PC:

  55dlls - Silverstone Tek Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX Mid Tower Computer Case, Black PS08B

262dlls - Intel Core i5-4590

120dlls - Kingston HyperX 1600MHz DDR3 de 4GB FURIA CL10 DIMM (x2)

110dlls - Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6 GB S USB 3.0 Micro ATX DDR3 1600 GA-B85M-D3H

  59dlls - Antec VP-450 450 Watt Energy Star

174dlls - GIGABYTE GV-R667D3-1GI Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR3 DVI-D / D-Sub / HDMI CrossFire Ready

39dlls - Western Digital Caviar Blue de 500 GB SATA III 7200 RPM

137dlls - Acer S220HQL Abd 21.5-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor

956dlls - TOTAL

I haven't bought any of that, is just in my list and thats the official price in the store, should i ask to change the graphics card?, or go without a graphics card?, or change the whole think (Remember i can't buy things from internet, all has to be done trought that store, because of some TAX issues)

In this case, I would try to get an i3 and a better GPU. The HD 6670 isn't up for much nowadays. Try to get a GTX 750 or R7 250X at the least for any decent gaming.

I second the GTX 750ti. It is a great value card

Not really, you can get an r9 270 which will be much better for the same price.

On that website, they list the XFX TS 550W 80+ Bronze PSU in one of the builds http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Wired-Bronze-Power-Supply/dp/B004RJ8EKI?tag=gcgctest-20

That's a pretty decent unit with good quality. More than enough for most GPUs out there.
