First off how often are you supposed to clean your PC ? Normally?

second my issue and freak out here is within about a month there was a horrific amount of dust gathered in my love, My dream my 970.

I am currently using 2 fans in my setup, do adding fans help prevent dust build up?

1. Every so often. Clean the dust filter more often (like every month or so) and clean the rest 2 times a year or so. Possibly more, if you say it's so dusty for you.

2. Clean dust filters more often, make your room less dusty or possibly dust filter for the intake fans

Get / make some dust-filters and run with positive pressure (more air going in than out).. Also keeping the room where the pc is well cleaned with save you much dust.

No matter what you do you will always get some in there.. Just clean as you feel is necessary. I find a paint-brush is awesome at getting it off and just vacuum after.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

do even dust filter bro?  (seriously get some)

Get you computer off the floor if its there right now

If your fan setup is double exhaust then you basically built a fancy vacuum.

1. How often you want to be honest, I will probably do mine in a couple of months (and replace thermal paste etc.)

2. If anything, I think it'd do the opposite due to it bringing in dust from more positions.

guessing u do all that so often cause ur itching to get ur hands back on ur pc :P i know i do

Tbh u should really only have to clean ur pc 3 times a year and maybe make one of those times a full clean with take out components etc, as for thermal paste u only have to replace that every 2 years unless u have to remove ur entire heatsink for one reason or another

Nah, I do love touching my PC, but I haven't cleaned it since I built it 4 months ago.

I take a can of air to mine..... two times a month? Maybe more. It's right in my LOS and the side panel is nothing but clear so...
Dust CAN kill your computer but only if left un treated for a long time. I'd do a good dusting at least once a month.

I wipe the dust off the outside of mine weekly, its been 3 months since I last had it open and there is no dust build up visible through the window.

how frequently it needs doing will vary very much on where you live and where you have the case. Mine is on a desk has positive air pressure.

I have a friend who lives in an area with high dust levels in the atmosphere and everything in his house gets a thick coating of dust in less than a week.

If its on the floor it need more cleaning especially if it on carpet not wood/tile.
