Ok so I've been looking into building a PC/Gaming setup. I currently have a PS4 which I love and a really good pc but I share both with my two brothers. Some games I enjoy are Counter Strike, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty AW, etc. I'm looking to run most of these games on good settings. My budget is 1500$ give or take. Some main things I would want are, Intel I7, 8-16 gigs of RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 970, and a NZXT Phantom 530 case. I want to hear your opinions on other aspects of the computer aswell. Going with a modernized white theme.

1500$ for everything?

The Monitor, keyboard, mouse  too?

Or just the ATX Tower?

@itsDolan

  1. Remember to follow your topics, otherwise you don't get a notification if someone answers without mentioning you (like I did) or quoting your message. The button is on the right top of the screen. Welcome to the forums by the way!
  2. Do you need an i7? Watch this video.
  3. Are you going to build it yourself?

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

I used pc part picker and got it out to around 1477 plus tax including my OS. So I'm satisfied but I still need help on cooling, motherboard, and processor

An i5 would be better for gaming, you would only need an i7 if you're doing editing and production work.

What do you need the i7 for? You get the same fps if you have an i5 4690K

Main gaming pc: Lian-Li Lancool II Mesh Performance - Ryzen 5 5600X - MSI GTX1080Ti Armor - AMD Wraith Spire RGB - ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 2x8GB 3200MHz - 500GB M.2 (and a few other drives)

Gaming laptop: ASUS GL552VW: i7 6700HQ - GTX960M 2GB - 8GB DDR4 2166Mhz RAM - 1TB 7200RPM HDD

Same?

Youre drunk

Ok, maybe not the exact same, but the difference isn't huge, only 5-10 fps for this build.
