Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

I don't think they're slow, but a specific one (Not sure which) has some issue with it (forget what it is) that makes it unreliable for some reason. (Again, forget what it is)

they use compression algorithms to save on nand cell writes

compression takes time and processing, which can lead to slower access times than normal

also some file types are more compressible than others, leading to inconsisten speeds depending on the work you are doing

and because of this compression that saves on writes, they use cheaper nand which has less write cycles than other SSD makers (about 3000 write cycles only)

They were good at the beginning, but the kingston pulled a HUGE dick move and replaced the flash with some of much lower quality without telling anybody. Because of that, most benchmarks showed the higher performance ones, which was a lot better than what people were actually getting. Now they're really cheap, but perform accordingly.

HyperX 3K and Fury drives are fine and nice quality. Linus has used them in his build guides several times. All the hate relates in the mentioned SSDNow V300 incident. Since then they have improved even those lower level (entry level) drives so in general its like any other hate on the internet. Without any real reason.

and it all makes sense now , maybe I got good ones before they changed the flash. I get pretty close with reason to the performance I should be getting
