Your opinion on my $1,700 gaming monster.

Advic3

It's a 4790K and a 980. I will admit i'm sinning pretty hard at 1080p but it could do 1440p easily.

I know. Hopefully 1440 soon.

They both start with A if u liek dat.

It does make it better :) I will say almost any dual monitors is amazing, unless you have like a 24" with a 15" or they are a different resolution (except with triple or quad because the center can be main)

It'll be absolutely fine for 1 card and 1 CPU, even with an overclock.

The brands dont matter. LOL

PC Part picker says like 400 max with no OC. 650 will be enough. If I get SLI i'll upgrade.

Sorry I was talking about when you SLI. You dont' want to be constantly stressing your PSU anyway.

Is the Krait red? One reason I got the gaming 5. 16 gb for future proof & maybe streaming :D

No, it's white. Black and white. And does not have a dragon or "Gaming" on it.

I only use 10GB RAM when playing 3 games at once (alt tabbing) and running a Voltz Server which uses its own 6GB.

Sorry for being rude. I hate not having 144hz on my 2nd. -_-

No problem. I've never used 144Hz so I don't know the feeling, but I will soon be using a 4K as my main and 3 1080p as my multi taskers. I hope it doesn't look like crap.

Red and Black is so over done. (And again, subjective)

Also, the X99 one is $100 more, the Z97 is ~$110.

I like it because it is aimed at a minimalistic good looking machine, rather than the standard Red and Black "Gamer" computer.

Pretty "meh" PSU, performance is not "monster" but very nice as my machine preforms about the same.

That case is very nice, but the airflow is not that great, so really there was no point in a "K" CPU when anything over 4.4GHz (On ALL cores) will probably get it to 80c.

16GB RAM is really great for multitasking/game server running/rendering but gaming, no way. 16GB is really a waste for the purpose.

I personally think that motherboard is really ugly, but that is subjective. (I like the Krait much better)

I disagree. 16GB of RAM is entirely useful, even Linus as mentioned some games are starting to eat more.

Not only that, but what computer is soley for gaming? Very very few. So, it just makes sense when spending this much on a build to get 16GB.

-_- I'm not saying it does, it will just look a bit odd... This is coming from first hand experience.... And again you asked for opinions, I don't understand why you're being rude.

I totally get what you mean. I could never have 2 monitors that weren't the exact same side by side. Unless it was a 21:9 and a 16:9 off to the side for other work.

Sorry I was talking about when you SLI. You dont' want to be constantly stressing your PSU anyway.

You don't really stress it when you run closer to the upper limits. It's designed to run up to and a little over it's rated power.

Interesting. I've always heard that when you run it near its max, it degrades faster.
