MIT develops a thumbnail-sized wireless trackpad

The NailO is actually a special wearable device that one can wear on one thumbnail, designed by MIT Media Lab researchers is a fingernail-mounted wireless trackpad that controls a smartphone, tablet, or a computer. It simply works as a remote control. Just swipe across your thumbnail and you'll see your screen moving to your preferred direction or location.

The project is still under development but the researchers plan to present this in South Korea next week. A paper is currently being prepared for a more detailed explanation of the NailO concept.

Cool idea. Just that I want to see it in use. I mean this might be the same as Ring by Logbar... great on paper bad in practice.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

That's pretty cool. I can see this being useful for power point presentations because it will be more discrete than a bulky remote. Maybe Linus could use one for his teleprompter as well so it doesn't look like he grabs his junk every so often. ;)

Great minds think alike :P Was gonna say this myself....will be very useful for university lecturers....especially the ones that don't know how to use PPT or a remote ¬_¬
