VGA. It's an analog connector that's been around for a while.

EDIT: you're referring to a DVI connector.

No, that's VGA(also known as D-Sub). The connector you're referring to in the image is DVI.

Depending on the monitor you decide to purchase(unless you're reusing some), it may already come with a DVI cable.

I plan on getting 2 of these. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313 And since I don't like playing a game on 3 monitors or maybe my mind will change imma wait and maybe get a big 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitor when I get the money. Maybe the price will drop a little in the next few months.

Alright sweet. Also with what I have now I don't have both monitors connected to the GPU. I've got connected to it then the one monitor is connected to the other monitor. Would this still work out? I noticed there was 2 DVI slots on the GTX 970 (The GPU im getting)

Are you asking if you can connect one display to the other?

Alright so basically this isn't mine but you'd for say connect that right monitor,to the middle, one and the left one to the middle, one then the middle, one would be connected to the GPU. I've done this with a 2-way monitor but not with 3-way. I could just connect for,say the left monitor to the middle then the middle,to the GPU AND the right monitor to the GPU

I've never dealt with monitors that can be connected to each other. None of my monitors have inputs.

No, that's not how you configure a multi-monitor setups.

Monitors (or any display for that matter, i.e. TV) can only function as an output device; they do not , and cannot, functions as input.

A graphics card operates as an output device. You connect both monitors to the rear of the graphics card.

The MSi GTX 980 has two DVI ports -- connect the opposite ends of the monitor cables to the DVI ports on the back of the graphics card.

[Monitor #1] -----> DVI cable #1 ----> [DVI Port #1 on the back of the graphics card]

[Monitor #2] -----> DVI cable #2 ----> [DVI Port #2 on the back of the graphics card]
