since i have downloaded some random movies and music on the internet.

i have a problem with ad websites popping up randomly on chrome and its really bloody annoying, any ideas?

Virus scanner, malwarebytes scan, look around in your program via Control Panel and check your (Chrome/FireFox) extensions.

Install Adblock, I use Adblock Plus and it works great. Or just scan for virus, it could be.

You can try reinstalling Chrome (or whatever you use)

any good virus software and malware software?

Avast (free) and Malwarebytes.

Even if you just use them once.

I'd recommend BitDefender Free + MalwareBytes (Free/Premium).

It could be an extension as well, you can check it if you want to get rid of it :P

Checked extensions, and also recently installed programs, nothing. But for Win10 I'll do a hard reset so not that big of a deal
