Fry's has a sweet deal on the Fx-6100 (http://www.frys.com/product/6820706?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG) making it only $10. I think it's just a lower clocked older version of the Fx-6300. Micro Center also has nice bundles (http://www.microcenter.com/site/products/amd_bundles.aspx) for FX series processors.

If I were to choose the Fx-6100, do you think I can oc a little bit on a cheap motherboard and stock cooler to make it a little faster? Or would I need a higher end mobo and cooler, which would make it cost as much as one of the bundles? Or if that's not a good idea what bundle should I consider?

I would like to game, and I've heard the Fx-8350 is the best out of the Fx processors for gaming? So should I buy that or I would be fine with Fx-6xxx, or maybe the 8370e/8320/8320e?

+1 buy them then sell them, as for the motherboard, I would recommend the cheap MSI gaming 970

What cooler do you recommend?
