I have a budget of $300 left for my cpu.  I want a cpu that has a lot of upgrade paths, able to game while streaming at the same time (gonna have a GTX 970 as GPU), Cost around $300 or less if possible.  I thought about a i5 4460 or 4690  OR Amd FX 6300 or Amd Fx8350.  What do you think of the cpu's I thought of, and what are some other cpu that can fill my needs?

you never know what zen may bring ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But seriously, as of right now, 4690 is your best option.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

4690 or 4690k for overclocking. The AMD CPUs have no upgrade path and the 4690 is just plain better!

If you have $300 for a CPU, an i7-4790k should fit the bill.  Or is that $300 for CPU and mobo?  An i5-4690k will be plenty, but an i7 will be that end of the line, best available on this platform.  Either will last you a very long time.  You will need a Z97 mobo for either.

I live in Canada and the price for the i7 4790 is $385.  Also can the i5 4690 or 4460 live stream while playing games?

i5-4690k will do a great job for your needs and will not bottleneck your 970. I highly reccomended and also you could upgrade the i7-4790k with a beast of a cpu.

CPU: AMD FX 8320  CPU Cooler: 212 Evo GPU: Asus GTX 750 Ti @ 1400MHz RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4gb) MOBO: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Power Supply: Evga G2 650 Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB, San Disk Ultra 240 GB SSD Case: Corsair 230t Orange

Pretty much and 4th generation quad core i5 (Don't even think they make a dual core i5) will do the job just fine. There have been posted some good recommendations

I would NOT go for an AMD FX seires cpu, because they are out-dated (most of them) and for what I know, all 4th gen i7 Socket 1150 CPU are better then any FX-series CPU. In more ways then performance.
