So, I'm getting parts for a budget build.

Case is raidmax hybodus. I figure they can't fuck that up, since its plastic on a metal shell.

I was thinking of a four hundred watt power supply. PC part picker listed the parts as having a total draw of less than two hundred watts. This would allow me to get a solid graphics card upgrade later.

I was thinking of getting a Raidmax psu. Thoughts on this part? I don't know how reliable they are, but I'm thinking of trying their PSU.

Unapologetic AMD fangirl. Yes, I'm biased. Yes, I know sometimes nVidia and/or Intel is an equal or better option. Yes, I try to keep it in check.

I still like AMD more.

Stay far away from Raidmax psus. Something like the 500B1 would be much better: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr

The case seems alright as a standard cheapo case. The layout seems fine but it may lack many of the luxuries that higher end cases tend to come with. A quick go-to recommendation that's probably better would be the N200 but tbh, I haven't looked too deep into the Hybodus MATX-EV31. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-nse200kkn1

PCPartPicker wattage is always wrong. ALWAYS.

Don't get raidmax, EVGA or SeaSonic are good brands. EVGA preferably because of their customer support.

If you want upgrades you'll need more wattage. But for your current build you'll be fine.

Go with this PSU instead and get a better case http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100w10500kr

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Thanks for the warnings, everyone.

Any future upgrades on this exact build would be as follows:

Low R9/GTX 7xx

SSD

Case modding

It's not going to be a gaming powerhouse or anything. It's just to get me something decent on a strict budget until I save for something big.

I'll check out the listed brands.

Thanks everyone. Would y'all suggest wattages for this build with the idea of upgrading to a single SSD and either a GTX 7xx or R9?

@STRMfrmXMN case is subjective, not objective. mATX and looks take precedence there due to the space I'm working with. Best looking case for the size constraints and budget in my opinion.

OK, it's up to you I suppose. Just find reviews about the internals before buying it though.

I hate to push the point at hand but, I wouldn't recommend case modding for a crappy case :P

Also, if you are going to get a low budget card. The 750 ti is awesome. (I tell a lot of people this)

I see you like AMD, understandable. I use a 290 and it's really good.

Wattages: 500w is good. 600w to be safe. if you ever want to add another 750 ti, you may need more wattage.

It depends on the card. With what you mentioned, the psu recommendations could range from 250w - 550w.

@STRMfrmXMN Don't worry, I've been scouring for them. What attracted me was the cube like shape and that the mother board tray is near center, dividing the mother board compartment and the power supply and hard drive mounts. Take a look:

But cheap shit is the best to practice on!

This build will never run dual cards. It won't need to. After this, I save for my build. When I build the custom gaming/code compiling behemoth later on, this one goes to the boyfriend. He pays LoL, path of Riker, and rune scape.

@WoodenMarker

I'm thinking 500 watts now, thanks to y'all.

500 would be good, there are some really nice PSUs in the 500w range.

As I said, EVGA is best.

What do you plan on doing to that poor, helpless case?

Ok. Due to space, think I'll splurge on a modular one.

Not certain... Yet. I'm thinking a dremel, lights, tubing, and the color green or blue may be involved...
