I'm thinking about getting this computer with these specs:

  • Genuine Windows 8.1 64 Bit
  • 2TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s
  • 240GB KINGSTON V300 SSD
  • 4GB GEFORCE GTX 970
  • 16GB HYPER-X FURY (2 x 8GB)
  • ASUS® Z97-A
  • OC Intel® Core™ i7-4790k

I will be using it for games on steam. Though one of my favourite games like Gta V will be played alot on it! Would I be able to max out the settings and get 60fps at 1080p?

Thanks :D

Ye it's good.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

If your buying it prebuilt how much are you paying? If it's more than 1.4K, then don't get it.

Someone tell me if im wrong but doesn't the Kingston V300 barely be faster than an HDD?

Edit: Can confirm V300 is the SSD that you shouldn't get. http://www.eteknix.com/potential-kingston-pny-scandal-switching-ssd-components-after-reviews/

It's easier for me to get a pre-build one. I'm not sure on all the pc specs etc :/

learn. You'll not regret it. Seriously, I used to be like you, but then I realised that knowing exactly how a PC works and its components etc. is a great help in troubleshooting.

What do you mean? A 970 is absolutely perfect for 1080p GTA V.

For first time builders, please use PCPartPickerLogical Increments

Also please keep a friendly tone at all times. Have a good day/night.

It's  £1,222.00

The same build can be made for 25% cheaper. This seems to be VERY over priced.

I can't run constant 60 Even with a 980 Overclocked to ~1600 MHz, and a 4790K with everything Maxed. I run like 55 with spikes to like 43.

If I got two 970 gtx with an i5 (it comes out cheaper) but will it get bottle necked?

No. An i5 will not botttleneck ANY GPU'S in GAMING.

Yeah, that would perform great! However, I always recommend custom building! It's really easy to do, and allot cheaper.

If you do end of buying a Prebuilt however, compare the price of the prebuilt to an equivalent system on uk.pcpartpicker.com

You'de need the socket and chipset compatible to your CPU.

Which means, any 4000 Series i5 would be on the H/Z97 platform, and on the LGA 1150 Socket.
