The words "Small form factor" and "SLi / Crossfire" does not exist in the same sentence.

If you are going Small Form Factor, then you are usually talking about ITX or mini-ITX board with a case with one or two expansion slots.

SLi / Crossfire automatically requires a minimum of four slots (typically these days), which means you now need a mATX motherboard as a minimum.

The size of a mATX board is about double the size of ITX / mini-ITX.

But to provide optimal airflow to the GPU's, you typically want a few slots' space between the two graphics cards, so you are looking at full size ATX. In that situation, "Small Form Factor" cannot exist in the equation.

As the limit of expansion slots approaches 4-, or approaches 7+, SFF does not exit.
