Hi,

I'm going to be building a computer soon, and I'm not sure if these are the best specs for my price range of $1500 USD. Can someone tell me if this is ok, or if it needed to be upgraded:

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T4 70.0 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

RAM: G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory

Storage: A-Data Premier Pro SP900 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card

Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Thanks!  :)

don't do this. if you have that budget go with a 2011 or 1150 socket and an i5 or i7.

the only CPU upgrade you can get is the 9590, which isn't much better.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Do you really need a 3TB HDD or could you get a smaller one and spend the savings on a 256GB ssd ?
