The compatibility can be resolved with a better case, I recommend the Corsair 200R.

 

But yeah, for that budget at least go with the FX-6300 and an AM3+ motherboard.

to a point, i believe at least a quad core is necessary, which is why i recommended the 6300 instead of an I3.
