Choosing a right 500$ -ish display

Lobmed

Hi guys this is my first thread at LTT forum, I and I hope you could help me.

I am looking for a new display for my pc. First I thought Ezio Foris FS2434 is a no-brainer (it's very recommended in my country) it's an 68Hz IPS made for gaming. But it's only 1080p And I don't think it's is enough for today's standarts when every few months comes a new resolution display. So then Dell U2515h showed up. I absolutely love it's look, It's an IPS (2560x1440 px) it has more usb hubs and ports (Eizo doesn't have displayport). Dell is a fairly new display and there are not many reviews of it.

So my question is will Dell (which i absolutely love) be a good display for gaming or if not, is 1080p a good choice for display resolution? 75% of my computer activity is gamig :P

Games that I play are mostly the Witcher 3 (not yet but soon :3), Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor, TW Rome II, Civilization, NBA 2k, Fifa, and maybe Borderlands series, but mostly RPG games. I don't think i will play any Fps games so I don't plan on a TN display.

There are the displays:

Dell U2515H

Eizo Foris FS2434

http://www.eizo.pl/monitor/eizo-foris-fs2434/

Both displays may not be expensive in us propably around 400-450 $  and i don't plan on raising the budget. Pleas help me :P

GPU?

If 700 series gpu or higher / 290 + or higher : Go for 1440p IPS

If already struggling to get your framerate on your current monitor(assuming that is 1080p): The 1080 gaming monitor

Dell's Ultrasharp monitors are good

If you have budget for 1440p monitor, don't settle on 1080p monitor. Even if 770 (set on your profile) can't handle games at 1440p.

It will be good investment in years to come IMO.

Finally got PS4 Pro
