Does Running 4K on Older PC games make them look better or worse?

What are your experiences?

Do they look worse because the Texture flaws and meshes?

Better. Vice City/San Andreas in 1080p was fantastic, but 4K would be like sex.

You reminded me I haven't played Vice City in Years , Time to run it on my 4k Monitor and check the results. 

Love the soundtrack.

Mate I ran some older titles like mirrors edge and bioshock 1 at 1440p 4k and they look better than current gen consoles graphics. I ran it with Nvidia DSR on 1080p screen and I say its well worth it. Gives second life to games.

Upping resolution pretty much never makes something look worse unless the game doesn't really support it or you're reducing your other settings.

It makes them look better, unless we're talking about sprite based games.
