ROG-GR6-with-Gladius-mouse-and-M801-Keyb

Does not come with the mouse and keyboard pictured in the links (it says optional).

It looks like a more interesting option than the GR8 just because it is likely to come in at a lower price point (i5 vs i7)
Off topic: Why do mobile i7's come with such a premium. I looked at the specs of the GR8 i7 and its a dual-core with hyperthreading, and the i5 in the GR6 is also a dual-core with hyperthreading. They may have a difference of 1mb cache and 0.4 GHz max clock (but the i5 has a higher non-turbo clock) but the price difference should be significant.

I want it to compete with consoles, but there is no way this is going to be in the 400 dollar range so I am hoping for a price of around 600.

What do you guys think?

A fair price would be 500-550 bucks considering it doesn't come with a screen, but I doubt it will be the case...

If you look at the game benchmarks at notebookcheck click here the GTX 960m shows decent frame rates at medium to high settings. Does anyone know how this compares to the consoles?

I would say it's slightly better compared to console gpus, but the key is the ability ttto customize settings to get a higher resolution and framerate.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Looks good but I think the Alienware alpha is a better deal when it drops to like $400

the GR6 has a slightly better GPU though and is super cute! I played with the GR8 at EGX and it was really nice

Still trash... Who bought the first one to warrant a second? Ugly, underpowered and overpriced, literally 20% of the cost of the first one was the ROG sticker. An overpriced laptop in a box. Not even a practical box. Not even a good looking box.

Asus are becoming worse than Apple was.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I think it looks pretty good. It's not that under powered, and it's a solid entry to gaming. The price hasn't even been announced yet (but I'm not gonna lie, it's still probably going to be overpriced).

A notebook GPU... I don't think it would be that much easy to upgrade... and laptop GPUs are shit after 2 or 3 years.

I'm pretty sure the GPU and CPU are NON upgradable. It's just the ram and harddrives as far as I can tell. As for performance it's a pretty decent console replacement. It's definitely gonna cost more but the question is how much more?
