Lenovo X1 Screen burn in

Hi,

I got a lenovo X1 carbon touch on preorder, and I've had it for over a year. Recently, I've noticed that my screen has some unusual burn in issue. Whenever the screen is left on a certain image for long enough (around 5-10 minutes. Usually the taskbar or the top bar of windows), when switching to a new background, a rather apparent phantom image of the window will remain on the screen for a few minutes.

Anyone know how to help? I have the top level, 2560x1440 screen.

contact Lenovo about the issue

 

they will replace it if you unit is under warranty

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Now, this may actually be a windows issue. I know some times on the Lenovo E545 when you close a window it can look like burn in. 
Try a fresh install of windows on another partition or a linux boot stick before you do anything else.

If it still happens in a fresh install/ Linux , RMA it.
