My wallet is about to be empty as fuck for this game. The hype has eaten me and now I must follow the train.

 

Asking this now because most players are already laucnhing it a few minutes ago

 

1. How good are the ports?

 

2. Is the driving doable for keyboard + mouse?

 

3. How long did it take you to download?

servers are down and patch is required, also a friend pc just crashed while in game but idk if that was a game problem or something else happened

just like when gta online launched for console, it took a solid week for rockstar to fix their shit servers

Yes, runs very well

ehhh, i came from PS3 so its a bit wonky but im getting used to it :)

5 hours from steam. entirely depends on your internet connection though

For some reason my audio glitches out as soon as I enter the game. Kinda sad as it makes me not be able to even enjoy story mode.

that happened to me too when I first launched the game but it stopped after a minute or so

1. Its decent :)
2. Driving is okay, little weird because its different from other games. Cars center of gravity is off thats why GTA can do crazy shit :D. I like Watch_Dogs driving better for now until i get used to GTA.

The port is great make sure you update your gpu drivers. I have it nearly max and it run butter smooth and very little pop in.

Keyboard and mouse feel great if you are scared because you played gta 4 this is not gta 4. As far as I can tell from 4 hours of playing 3 in story mode and 1 in multiplayer rockstar did a fantastic job with this port.

I have a retail copy and it took 2 hours to install then it had a 5-10 gb download I can't remember exactly what it was.

Don't know where you get that. I got the game decrypted it in about an hour and 30mins.. After that game run without problems did not even notice social club as steam handles in in the background. And for me servers where all online. As I first played about 2 hours of sp. As I saw all the streamers trying to get there old accounts knew the servers would be overcrowded. I meen after the game released it crashed steam login servers for a few mins.

The game has micro-stutters/micro-freezes/hitches/hiccups/frametime spikes, call it whatever you want.

They seem to be random, and compared to FC4 less frequent. People over at Steam forums are saying it happens on both AMD and Nvidia hardware, so it's the game's fault. It's going to be sad if they don't fix it. Right now, I wouldn't say it's optimized and I wouldn't recommend the game to anyone until this gets fixed.
