Pants for summer

Hi, I am not interested in fashion at all but I need long pants for summer in New York. I will walk for couple of hours in sun every day. Pants has to be black and long. I am looking for thin material, not like jeans. Do you know pants like that?

The only way to really find pants that are just right is to get to a shop and try some on.

Visit a department store? They should have people in the clothes sections that can give you advice?
