Hi,

I'm looking for a video editing software that isn't too hard to use and isn't expensive. I only really need it to fix up video's I already have like add chapters, when it starts and ends and subtitle editing would be a bonus. Also needs to support mkv format.

Can somebody recommend me some?

Not sure if it support it, but WIndows Movie Maker is simple and free :P

If you're on Mac, iMovie is decent too

Used movie maker. Doesn't do chapters or support mkv.

I have a $30 version of Vegas. There are only two features it doesn't have so far as I've used it: 3D animating text and masking.

If you have any problems with it, message me, and I'll walk you through anything you want to learn. It can be a little finicky at times.
