in North Charleston, South Carolina police officer Michael T. Slager shot and killed a man named Walter Scott.

 

The officer in question pulled over Walter for a broken taillight on his car, however Walter at the time was wanted for a family court warrant and ran away, the officer then ran after him and into a empty grass lot and shot him with a taser, however it didn't affect Walter and when the officer caught up to him, Walter knocked the taser out of his hand. And ran away from the officer which then the officer, opened fire on him and shot at him eight times, before Walter fell to the ground.

 

Now this piece of shit said that Walter took the taser from him and so he felt he was in danger, however due to a video it shows that when Walter knocked the taser out of his hand ( You can see on the bottom right were a object comes flying out of the officers hand in the video ) and after he shot him this piece of shit walked over where the taser was on the ground and placed it right next to Walter.

 

Now this is now a tragic incident and many news outlets shouldn't use white cop shoots black man as an title for this sad incident, it induces racism. 

 

Now please remember NOT all cops are bad ok. Lets not just generalize cops not all of them are bad some of the are very good and kind hearted, such as purchasing 100 dollar boots for a homeless person, or giving a kid a new bed and a game console.

 

Good news is that the officer now is in jail and without bail. Still sad for the family whom lost their son or brother.

what bothers me is how everything is about race. any time anyone who is a minority gets shot by a white officer, its race, not the crime at hand,

 

 

right or wrong, he should get a fair trial. and that wont happen because like any other case like this, its immediately race.

my argument to this earlier on another forum was all over the news in the uk the state heavily in all the headlines "WHITE police officer" ... not everything is a race crime.. maybe that cops just a power hungry egotistical asshole.... regardless if the man he shot was black or white... in this instance it was 100% murder no if nor buts. however in almost all police shootings of late its always been black suspect white officer...

 

why do we never hear up roar about black officers shooting white suspects.. I'm sure it happens hundreds of times a year??? or are there very few black officers??

 

the sad reality of things these days is they're soon going to have to have 3 officers per car, one white, one black and one asian.. that way nobody can claim any accident involving an officer and a different raced individual can be seen as racist..

Yeah but remember the cop should not be afraid of something he is willing to use on someone else in a non life or death situation. Also their vests are thick enough that tazers only get stuck in them and don't hard them. Unlike when the cop who decided not to run after the girl a week or so ago and used the tazer on her when she was on pavement resulting in her death I think or severely brain damaged.

The probability of someone carrying a gun is a lot smaller, hence different approaches.

It's not racist. It's offensive. How else to you identify a person. The identification in of itself is racist then? No, it just the word used. Like you don't call asian people "yellow" person. It's just offensive, a word relegated to a racist era of history.

the suspect wasnt carrying a gun though or any weapon for that matter ive even seen armed british police use a taser on a guy who came at them with a large knife after threatening his own life they used a taser and still continued to user tasers to stop him instead of shooting and possibly killing him.

So not only did he have a warrant on his head, but he also ran from a cop, and then slapped his non-lethal weapon out of his hand? Son, he was just asking for it, I say the cop did his job, you could argue for a suspension and probation, but you can't charge him for that.  This is not like that case in Oakland where the cop literally shot a guy who was pinned down.

He could have, but he didn't. I'm merely remarking upon that American police officers are trained differently. I can't remark on this specific situation, therefore I won't, Whether it was justified or not? Not the point, frankly I couldn't care less. But that's also not the point.

why can't it just be officer A shoots man B. I have a black friend. when i talk about him to other people i dont go "my black friend #####" i just say my "my friend ######"

the colour of someones skin isn't an import factual piece of information, unless its used to describe someone thats being looked for. 

 

you dont need someones skin colour to identify someone in every day news. or you'd be hearing "white lady calls for help due to cat stuck in tree" "black man foils bank robbery"..

Yeah, the taser that was knocked out of his hand?  Also, a cop is "cowardly" for shooting someone in the back? What is this the Age of Chivalry? Your earlier example doesn't really apply because the criminal didn't knock their tasers out of their hands, and their orders were probably "Use non-lethal force unless necessary",  if they got their tasers taken or knocked out of their hands, they would use lethal force if they couldn't close the gap with nightsticks.
