Headphone prices thoughts?

So, I was looking through headphones sold in Malaysia and the Sennheiser 558 is around $215. So, i was wondering if the price is worth it. I saw that the akg k612 is a bit cheaper too, at around $190
If you guys could suggest me some other open headphones to keep in mind, of around the $100-200 $250 price point, it would be awesome.. Its just for knowledge's sake
Im looking at this website(lelong.com.my) as a base, since im totally clueless of the malaysian tech market pricing becausei have not been lived there for years.

i perhaps should have specified i was talking in dollars, i know of these headphones, but i'd like to add knowledge of the specified range.

I have no idea what prices you can expect, I would check out any of the major brands that they have, Beyer, AKG, Sennhieser, Audio Technica. My top picks for mid-fi open cans are the AKG K612/K712 and Philips Fidelio X2. The latter two might be out of your budget where you're buying from, though.

Well the Fidelio is a hella lot cheaper than the Sennheiser 600s and 650s from what i can see. $350-380 compared to $441(600s) and $535(650s). From what i can see compared to amazon pricing.I don't mind saving up, but not to that extent.

Hmm it increased from when i last checked maybe due to the introduction of GST. (okay maybe not it was 413usd for the 650s.. gst is only 6%)Well whatever

What about the Fidelio? Man the Sennheisers got jacked up in priced recently. Last time I checked it was quite a bit cheaper. Now... GST was introduced but that's only 6%,*sigh* well i dunno im not an economist.

Sennheiser HD600 and 650 are actually much cheaper here in the states from sales and such. But yeah, headphone prices are really expensive in SE Asia

thats quite a bit worse than our pricing, i live in the middle east currently, but i dont even know where to buy these stuff.

Alternatively, I think you could cross to Singapore easily (depends on where in Malaysia you live, of course). The price could be friendlier there.

from what i see its max 80bucks more from amazons 299. Cheapest 349.i'm not buying anything anytime soon unfortunately, thats why i just want headphones to keep in mind.From what i can see its the Sennheisers that get jacked up the most.
