salutations!

Okay so recently I've been looking into extracting gold from old hardware such as RAM CPUs mobos ect... just to earn a little pound here or there! Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it actually more profitable to just sell the hardware on? Lol and i also just thought it would be nice to have a discussion thread for this because its an interesting idea :)

thanks

i dont think you will making profit out of it ,you will be just recycling gold because there is not much gold in electrical devices (unless you are using a phone made out of gold)

It isn't worth it. The amount of gold in a computer is not worth the time that would be taken to extract it, there is literally no money in it.

pointless

the amount used is minuscule

its better to just sell the parts

I don't think the gold you would be able to get from a computer would net you any profit. For example, there is less than a single gram of gold on an entire motherboard, maybe 2 grams if you're lucky for an entire system... By current gold prices that's 70 US dollars on an entire system and that is if you're extremely lucky. It is definitely better to sell the parts because even the gold that is used is mixed with other metals and isn't necessarily pure

okay, if the hardware as broken then i could make some profit yeh? or even donated?

Donated is probably the only way, because you still have to pay for shipping or go pick up broken things as well as buying the product
