I'm in the market for a new PC< and I figured building one would be much cheaper than buying a prebuilt. So i've come here, to the Linus Tech Tips forum to ask for help. But I figure i'll follow the predetermined guide so, here goes:

Budget:

My budget is $2500 Canadian, and of course I live in Canada, Ontario to be more specific.

Aim:

My aim for this build is to get excellent productivity speeds, but more importantly is to be able to game at 1080p ultra at 144hz, now I understand that this wont be possible on every game, but I'll be willing to turn a few settings down to accommodate for it.

Peripherals:

I know I skipped monitors but that's because i'm including it here, I need all peripherals with this build, i.e. a mouse, a mechanical keyboard (Cherry MX Blues/Browns), a decent pair of headphones, and a 1080p 144hz monitor with a sub 3ms response time.

Why am I upgrading:

I am upgrading because I genuinely want to be able to delve into the world of PC gaming, while also having a PC that will be suitable for work related things, and rendering video for my YouTube channel. Unfortunately, my current laptop, which is my only computer, can barely run Minecraft at 30fps, so my options are quite limited in terms of my current computing potential, and that's exactly why I wish to upgrade.

Well, after all of that, I suppose all I can do is inform you that I have no brand preferences, I just want the best bang for my buck, and good luck to those who make me a build, Thank you all in advance!

Go with a better power supply. The NEX is pretty average.

This is much better for an extra $10.
