Blue Yeti Thumping noise

I guess you can say it's not a hardware problem.

Maybe it has to do with what Skype and DxTory do with the audio after it is received or something..

Ok I have discovered that turning the on mic gain to almost zero and boosting the computer gain gets rid of the noise!

My Blue yeti microphone is either emiting or picking up a strange thumping noise how can I fix this? Video with this noise here:

Sounds like something like a broken wire or malfunctioning USB port/

Have you tried a different USB port on your PC?

Yeah, that would be best. 

It's a micro USB cable, so I suppose you could use another one too.

Just eliminating other stuff too now:

- have you tried live listening to yourself? Like with the 3.5mm port on the bottom of the Yeti?

- have you tried  another recording software?

Ok with audacity it's gone but with Dxtory and skype it's still there

When I'm messing with the gain it seems to effect whats going on with the thumping
