Is the gtx 960 a great card if i want to use 3x 4k monitors using for office work (and Blender - but for rendering i will have other GPUs)?

2GB may have issues.

I wouldn't use anything until a 970 for an enjoyable experience.

I don't quite understand.

You ask if a 960 is good for triple 4k displays (to which I'd say yes), but then you bring up Blender and say you will have other GPU's? What do you mean there, exactly?

I think that he are going to use this GPU for modelling, and another computer for rendering.

Are you trying to have like 1 GPU to run your displays and another prioritized for Blender?

Why not just have two good cards in SLI?

For Blender: i want to use the 960 just for display output and viewport in Blender - cause why wasting a higher end GPU for that???

And yes - the other GPUs will be there just for rendering power.

R9 280X would be good.

I would try 2 280s (not 280X) since they are cheap-ish :) you need 2 Display ports + 1 HDMI since you don't need more than 30hz refresh if it's just for office use. maybe 1 280X

But other than that you can try 2 960s?

Edit: Try GTX 980? but I suggest R9 290X Sappire 8Gb edition since it has a lot of VRAM.
