So I was thinking and I decided that my current computer wasn't good enough for what games I was playing. Then one of my friends gave me the idea to bulid my own gaming rig so here I am. Here's my specs

CPU: i7-4770k 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

RAM Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Intel 525 Series 120GB mSATA Solid State Disk

(Some Guides I've seen recommend getting a SSD for your operating system to be stored on and a hard drive for all your files, games, e.t.c so I'm not quite sure whether to go for that idea or just 1 SSD)

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card

Case: Inwin GRone (Gray) ATX Full Tower Case

Power Supply: Cooler Master V700 700W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

Optical Drive: Lite-On IHAS324-07 DVD/CD Writer

Thermal Compound: Antec Formula 7 Nano Diamond 4g Thermal Paste

Operating System: Windows Eight 64 bit

Cost:1772$

Is this setup good? Please don't post any upgrades because my budget was 1650 to 1700 so im already over. If anything is overkill let me know.

Thanks for the help! :D

Why? you are not doing any rendering therefore don't need the i7 the i5 is basically the same chip only lower clocked [can be overclocked] and has no hyper threading useful for rendering 32GB of RAM is also not needed for games most won't even use 4GB in any case I have made a system for you using pc part picker that meets your requirements perfectly

Two things:

If you're just doing gaming I wouldn't do 32 gigs of ram unless you're rendering or other stuff.

Also, if you're putting $1770 dont skip on the cooling, I would do as far as closed loop goes a h220 or a custom loop. you can also do the intro level watercooling kit from XSPC but if you dont want to get complicated with cooling the h220 is easily expandable for future use.

1) intel i5 would suit my needs and since im a noob who am I to argue?

2) 32 gigs or ram is overkill switching now to 16

3) tried to find the h200 but it's not in stock anywhere when I searched and custom cooling, for a first time rig builder? I think I'll mess up and the tubes will be spraying coolant everywhere

4) like the build Coombozy il upgrade the optical drive and the 1Tb but good overall

Even with like 10 games running you would barely get to 10gb ram just get 16gb and upgrade the GPU

My 2 cents? I would start over and base the system on a 780 -them GK110s really deliver- have a look at the core i5 3570 or i7 3770 on a z77 chipset as an option. And 16 GB of ram is plenty. You don't need thermal paste either the pre applied on the H100i is good stuff

an I5-4670K would be fine and also , 32GB is a total overkill get 8Gb and why do u need a GD65 ? the GD55 is just fine (i have the GD55 and a friend the GD65 and there's almost no diffrence except the voltage points
