Ram Brand. does it matter?

Go to solution Solved by QueenDemetria,

can i mix them and it be ok regardless of brand?

Yep, you might experience issues if the timings aren't the same, but most motherboards are pretty good at selecting the best compatible settings.

so ive got 4 2GB sticks of unbranded 1333ghz RAM. its DDR3.

I also have 2 2GB sticks of Corsair 1333ghz RAM. its also DDR3.

can i mix them and it be ok regardless of brand?

I have 2x2GB Corsair RAM and 2x2GB "I did not even look what brand it is or it's unbranded stuff"-RAM.

I guess it doesn't matter. Just be sure to do a RAM test or something.

Mine also has no heatsink, but some cheap RAM just has no heatsink and I couldn't bother to see if it has a brand now
