Posted March 29, 2015 So, I can get a new R9 280 for 175€. But I can also get a used 680 for that price. So, 2GB of vRam are a bit limiting, for 1080p60 shouldn't the 280 be better for the extra GB? Posted March 29, 2015 They are very similar in performance. The 680 however is a bit faster (5%-10%). I would take the 280 however because of the extra gb of vram.
Posted March 29, 2015 From what i remember, 680 is faster. Posted March 29, 2015 The 680 is faster, but the 280 has more VRAM, so I'd go

Posted March 29, 2015 Author Go for it! Perfect. By the way, I read that that Thermaltake Berlin 630w (The PSU I'm going to take) is will be fine with two 280, would you suggest me to add a second in the future? You would get much more performance (2 280s perform similar to 1 970/290x) however I always recommend getting a more powerful single gpu over two weaker cards. Always prefer a single beastly GPU over SLI or Crossfire because they create issues and single GPU doesn't Yes it should be enough on stock settings as long as your PSU is 80+ bronze atleast. The output wattage of Berlin 630w must be around 700-750W, I think! you'll have to check it out CPU i5 3570k - 4.0 Ghz | Motherboard Intel DZ77SL50K | RAM Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600 BUS DDR3 4GBx1 | GPU 2x Sparkle GTX 570 OC edition | Case CM 370 Elite | Storage Seagate 1TB 3.5" SATA HARD DRIVE 64MB CACHE | PSU Cooler Master GX series 550W (80+ bronze)| Display(s) Samsung 46' series 5 TV(1080p), Dell 20' (1280x1024) | Cooling 3x Corsair SP120 QUIET EDITION HIGH STATIC PRESSURE 120MM FAN TWIN PACK | Keyboard DELL original default keyboard | Mouse A4 Tech x2 800dpi | Sound On board~! I wouldn't recommend it because many games don't have profile ready on game release especially Gamewreck/TWIMTBP titles, that mean you'll stuck with single card performance. I suggest get a 290 for better future support. | Intel i7-3770@4.2Ghz | Asus Z77-V | Zotac 980 Ti Amp! I'll probably wait 'till it doesn't satisfy and then I'm going to buy a 300€ GPU (something like a GTX 1070 or the amd counterpart) Spoiler || Asrock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3 || i5 3570 @3.5GHz || Zalman CNPS10X Optima || 8GB RAM HyperX Fury Blue @ 1600MHz || Thermaltake Berlin 630W || Zalman Z11 || Gainward Phantom GTX 970 || 120GB Kingston V300 (Gift) + 1TB WD Green Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Tablet: iPad Mini
