Wifi Cards

I'm trying to buy a wifi card for my computer because I dont want to deal with rerouting wiring but the thing is, I dont know anything about wifi cards. I havent even had a computer that uses one before (talking desktops, I know laptops have them lol.)

 

I need something cheap (like around 20 - 30$ CAD) and it should be able to pick up a signal from accross my apartment, thats like a kitchen and a hallway away from my router. Also I dont want something that will slow down the speed of my internet. Like If I have to use ethernet cables to keep my internet running at fullspeed I will. Its a bit of a pain but I can rewire and be able to get an Ethernet cable into my room. My internet speed isnt like light speed, its about 20mb/s downlloading. and around the same maybe a bit more uploading.

 

My laptop can pick up a strong signal from anywhere in my apartment (even on the balcony) so thats what I need out of this wifi card. not sure what the sizes are but I have a few 1x slots on my motherboard and a pcie 2.0 card along with the pci 3.0 card that I use for my gpu. Thanks and Ill be using my pc for all around gaming and downloading videos movies etc. (torrents)

Have you looked at getting a Netgear or Asus USB wifi adapter?

Yea, I dont really know what I need though so I havent bought anything. I came to gain info so I could make the right choice on which one to buy.

 

@ , I need it in CAD, that one is good but its like 50$ CAD with tax and shipping

That is the cheapest PCI adapter I know of.
