I don't know if it's really worth buying. If something got hot enough to where something disconnected from the card's PCB, reflowing the solder with an oven may work, but it may also be a waste of $50.

don't even try it, not worth it.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Why?

Not fixable?

well, it might be, after 20 minutes @ 400degree F in the oven.

but the very first thing you should assume going in is that you're wasting 50 bucks.

i mean, the guy selling it could just be an idiot and it could work completely. but i'd doubt it.

I mean, it doesnt sound like he did much troubleshooting:

"

this video card was working just fine. I turn my computer off one night the next morning it did not power back up. the fan turns on, but no video. I viewed this as an opportunity to upgrade to a newer card.
