I am upgrading my pc from a not too long ago investment of an AMD fx6300 and Amd r9 280. Now before you call me stupid for buying this stuff see my end goal of an Intel 5820k and a gtx 970 even with 3.5 gigs of v-ram now how should I do this if I am 15 have no job but can maybe get a low paying one. Since I want to stream and record gameplay using OBS should I upgrade gpu then have to buy new mobo, Cpu and ram all at once what do you all think?

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

A 5820k is wayyyy overkill. Most people would call you stupid for wasting your money on that, rather then a cheap setup. If you're streaming, I feel like just upgrading to an 8350 would be a better option, rather then spending money on a new mobo + cpu to go Intel. Also, don't waste your time on a 970. You already have a 280, either get a 290x or a 980.

Hehe 3.5+.5GB vram, but yea I agree 5820k is way overkill, I think broad well is coming out soon if your really wanting to upgrade. But other than gaming one a 6300 is probably fine.

the GTX970 supports recording software called shadowplay innately which you might find pretty handy.

don't swap to a DDR4 board yet if you don't have the cash.

stick with DDR3, and that means you can save a ton of cash.

i'd suggest a i7-4770k, it's super popular and it gets the job done.

with ~16GB DDR3 (you can recycle your current RAM), a 4770, and a GTX970 you're got a pretty great gaming rig, which also support video capture and streaming right out of the box.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

This is my build to upgradable build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/72t9pg

And also I see your points but first I want this to completely smoke streaming and game playing for the next five years and this is how I see to do it.

Also my sister has other interests but sometimes plays a few games on her laptop however I would like to give her a head start with a cup and gpu ready to go with a mobo so she only has small expenses.

Finally fx6300 and r9 280 are both pretty old so I would like to have something for once relatively new.

Is the upgrades a good way to do this?

Also tell me more about broad well? Will there be 6 core CPUs for ddr3 ever and should I invest in ddr3 anymore with ddr4 out since I want this too last a little while?

if i were you, right now i'd get a gtx970, grab some more RAM, say 16GB (as in 2 more 8GB sticks) and upgrade my CPU to the fx-8xxx series.

keep your radeon incase you want to use multiple monitors.

but these simple upgrades will keep you chugging along for at least 3 more years until DDR4 is nice and cheap.
