Again I don't really want to rate because it's subjective and will 'mean' different things to different people but, I don't know, it's just all so busy, but then it kind of has to be to differentiate itself (within such a narrow band?) I mean it's got a lot more colour and depth than straight up death metal, (especially the outro 03.50 (which is more to my personal taste)).

I guess the more stereotypical to the very extreme of the genre the more technical it has to be and so the faster and more precise/restricted it has to be to differentiate itself within the form. I've just never really been able to fit myself into that kind of tight, narrow band :0/

But, anyway, if you didn't like the last one I posted you probably won't like this... :P

If you're impatient skip to 02:08...

Rating is inherintly subjective, but that's also part of the fun. Getting a different perspective on ones music taste is always fun.

Of course it means, that you have to explain your thoughts, and not just give a number rating. But a number can still be usefull, since it can show how it places on a persons scale.

But numbers are more usefull if the person is a known critic.

As for the songs posted, I really liked both of them. The first one reminds me of early Deep Purple or Led Zeppelin, but with a modern twist.

The second song reminds me of '70s garage rock, like MC5 or The Stooges, but mixed with Joan Jett.

I would give both an 8/10.

My pick for a song.

This is going to sound rather rude. But what the heck is this?

Sorry. The guitars were rather lackluster, same for the drums and the vocals didn't sound remotely good. But then I remember not all music is for everyone and return to my corner.

Evile is a fantastic band. I love modern thrash, especially when it has a melodic twist. 8/10

Music without prejudice (meaning I listen to all types of music) and this seems to me to be sub-genre I have not listen to, very much not bad.

I have never heard of this band before, but I kinda like it. I really do like the avant-gard-ish tone of the song 7/10.

(I think I'm too positive to be a good critic)

I have a friend who is a huge fan of Napalm Death. Me. I think they're alright, though, I love the atmosphere of live songs, so 7/10. Plus, that song was actually pretty good. May have to listen to some of more of them now.

7/10 could do without the metalcore stuff at the beginning and the long solo, but with that being said, it's not half bad.

Uh, metalcore? The entire song is technical death metal.

Going to say it. Ready? Coming from a fan of nu metal.

I think I posted this guys before but nevertheless, Sam Bell is my fav up and coming Metal player right now:

Not a big fan of the song, but the guitar work is amazing. 6/10

I am going to check out some of their other stuff, since it does show potential.

Not a big fan of the melodic metal-ish punk sound. Although, her vocals are pretty good. 5/10

Not a huge fan of the vocal style, but it's good just to sit and listen to. Though, not something I'd get hooked onto. 6/10.
