What is the game? Am I suppose to rate the song above my post? If so, I like it, but deathcore isn't really my thing.

Also, will can punk be included?

Sorry I updated the post, yes rate the previous song :) @Volbet

Wow I actually really like that @Serin pretty freaking fantastic for being live, had it been recorded/mixed better I would enjoy it more

One of my fav bands as well @Prastupok

I like being able to hear the vocals :P

Another good song is the classic Duality by Slipknot

Yeah their live stuff translates well, but I guess it requires translation through the studio recordings. I just love the live stuff because I remember being in them so very fondly :P

Themata, their first album was their heaviest, Sound awake was next and is less heavy and more prog but is utter perfection to my ears. Their most recent release gets heavy, but its a bit more dirty and maybe even arthouse?

Ahh slipknot. Duality is probably one of their only songs that stirs a response from me... A terrible metalhead I must be. It's funny to hear djent-ish rhythms before djent was even a thing.

"The wheel?" "No thanks, I'll walk, its more natural" - thus was the beginning of the doom of the Human race.
Cheese monger.

Slipknot doesn't particularly thrill me, either. HOWEVER, I'm not against a few songs on their new album.

Actually Meshuggah kinda started that trend, but Slipknot made that style popular

Corey changed his style a good deal that album

This is the first and only remix I've ever attempted...

(it's overlong and should end about halfway through (or maybe just repeat one more time) but it includes a 'signature'  (from the Akira Symphonic Suite)). Maybe if I knew how to clean the sound up or could just record some new kodo-drummer type stuff, I could make it work (would be quite powerful). The layering and subsequent sound levels are a little off but I think it gets the basic gist across...I dunno. :0/

Hopefully it should stay up... :0/

enjoy...

'Pieces of My Skin' (The Bones in the Water ''Hey Hey Hey'' Mix)...

(She's not actually saying "Hey Hey Hey Hey". I'm not sure what she's saying.

I tried to retain the "Telltale Heart" heartbeat (hard not to but there it is...) spoken word in the mid-section (02.38).

Here's the original...

I hope they actually like it?  :0/

Edit:

The guy shouting Hey in the backing reminds me of Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe (Whale)

I do believe it, I have fallen asleep to Amon Amarth a couple time. It was ok, sounds like it was made to be listened to in the background rather that actively evaluating it. It did go on for quite a while.

Too many bright colours in the sound (if that makes sense?).

I like my stuff a little murkier...

2/10 sorry. Go to exactly 1:18

This song makes me so sad :(

That's a really good song. Got an oriental Scar Symmetry vibe going. 9/10

On a less technical note

Edit: Just so we don't miss out on anyone.

This cause you know nick holmes is a mofucking legend

I was not a big fan if Bloodbaths newest album. But that is compared to their older albums, that are fantastic. 6/10.

Not going to rate because taste's subjective but for me it's kind of too flat and too narrow of a sound; too restricted. I like something a little more full and more wild...

Again I don't really want to rate because it's subjective and will 'mean' different things to different people but, I don't know, it's just all so busy, but then it kind of has to be to differentiate itself (within such a narrow band?) I mean it's got a lot more colour and depth than straight up death metal, (especially the outro 03.50 (which is more to my personal taste)).

I guess the more stereotypical to the very extreme of the genre the more technical it has to be and so the faster and more precise/restricted it has to be to differentiate itself within the form. I've just never really been able to fit myself into that kind of tight, narrow band :0/

But, anyway, if you didn't like the last one I posted you probably won't like this... :P

If you're impatient skip to 02:08...
